Church Loans
Church Loan Financial Preparation
Most of our programs do not require accountant audited financial statements but we do require documentation that we can understand to be able to determine if we can provide a church loan. In some circumstances we will be able to review your financials and determine that we can likely provide a loan but that the financials are not in a form that will be acceptable to an underwriter. In these circumstances, a church can choose to either use an accountant of their choosing or we can provide the names of people we have worked with in the past. The church has the responsibility to determine if the accountant is right for them and right for the job at hand. We do not earn any compensation from the accountant and it is the responsibility of the church to negotiate a fair price.
When determining if an accountant is right for you please consider asking the following questions, before they start preparing your church financing statements:
- How long have you been a practicing accountant?
- How many churches have you worked with in the past and are you familiar with church loans?
- How much do you charge?
- How long will it take to get the financials back?
